Professional GoalMy professional goal is to improve my teaching environment and curriculum to inspire students about agriculture. I have identified this because the agriculture aspect is what makes my classes different from the other sciences class. If students are excited and enthusiastic about my classes they will help to improve the Elsinore FFA Chapter. I will continue to implement hands on learning, the "Learning by Doing" method as well as continuing to share my passion for the agriculture industry. I will be able to assess my goal attainment by referencing our FFA roster numbers to compare them to the year prior. If the numbers have increased, check by what percentage. |
Staying ConnectedI will stay connected to others by contributing all that I can with my departments (science, CTE, agriculture) at events and meetings. I will also attend different professional development trainings to bring back information and ideas to share with my departments and colleagues.

How will I Sustain my Energy to Remain Passionate?I will try to sustain my energy by attempting to stay organized with my planner with all of my school events and FFA events. I also need to make sure that I do not take on too many tasks at once, which can happen fairly easy. There were a few times this year where I had to take a second to reevaluate things.

Advise to New TeachersMy advise for New Teachers is to find some sort of de-stresser. In this profession it is inevitable to run into stressful situations and times. Whether it's a hobby like going for a run or drawing, you just need to find something and MAKE time for it. Even taking a step back for 5 minutes is good enough to clear your head and let you start again. Also, it helps to find someone that you can vent to. I cannot

Quote from Reflective Coach"One of Jennah’s greatest strengths is her ability to relate to her students! Due to her love of the Agriculture program and the ideas it emulates her students are not only interested, but inspired! This is one of the reasons that the Agriculture Program at EHS has grown considerably in the past two years and has a bright future!"
